Bay Area News Group boys high school athlete of the week: Bryce Thomas, Moreau Catholic track and field



Moreau Catholic track and field standout Bryce Thomas is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for March 28 to April 3 after he received 6,671 votes (38.82%) at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Thomas edged runner-up Max Sloat, a lacrosse player from Sacred Heart Prep, who finished with 6,295 votes (36.64%).

Kennedy-Fremont baseball player Cody McFadden was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Thomas finished first in the 400 at the Stanford Invitational, covering the distance in a personal-best 49.05 seconds.

The junior’s time ranks No. 1 in the North Coast Section this season, according to Athletic.net.
